Our story

Good Bread, by design.

Loaf by Look is a microbakery — a very small bakery with a very simple goal: bread that's worth planning your week around. Every loaf is naturally leavened, hand-shaped, and baked in small batches so nothing sits around getting tired.

We believe good bread doesn't need to be complicated — just unhurried. That means real fermentation time, quality flour, and recipes that are refined until they're right, not rushed out the door.

How a loaf comes to life

Four unhurried steps between flour and your table.

1

Feed & build

Every bake starts with a well-fed starter and a simple dough of flour, water, and salt.

2

Ferment slowly

We give the dough time — a long bulk ferment and a cold rest in the fridge for 24–48 hours.

3

Shape by hand

Each loaf is shaped, scored, and loaded with intention. No shortcuts, no mixes.

4

Bake hot

Into the Dutch oven it goes for a deep, crackling crust and a soft, open crumb.
